#tbt - Backstage.com ranks NMA in exclusive company

In November of 2014, Backstage.com published their list of 13 Innovative Physical Theatre Companies, ranging "from the Greek chorus to Commedia dell'arte to Japanese Noh." 

In what remains a very proud moment for us, Not Man Apart was named as one of those companies, thanks to a history of imaginative, dynamic productions like "Pericles Redux." 

Of the 13 truly exceptional ensembles listed, only five were founded in the United States, and we are the only group on the list founded west of Chicago, fulfilling John Farmanesh-Bocca's founding goal of the company -- to build one of the premiere physical theatre ensembles of the West Coast.

We remain honored to be listed in such company, and look forward to collaborating and experimenting for years to come!
